The Living Sacrifice

Sacrifice is not really a pleasant topic for anyone. Despite the fact that we are using the term more frequently these days as a result of rising prices in key items such as agriculture and power, many do anything we can to prevent having to make compromises. We will make concessions in one area to avoid having to make sacrifices in another, as absurd as that may sound! This highlights the human predisposition to hold some aspects of our lives in higher regard than others, and we are hesitant to give up even a small portion of what we cherish the most.

This is not how Jesus Christ lived. He is really about sacrifice in His existence. His entire life had been a sacrifice. And it is His living that has been praised as the ideal model for ours. Everyone acquainted with the Scripture will immediately think of Jesus’ death on the cross on Calvary in order to atone for mankind’s sins. His crucifixion was, without a doubt, the most significant act of sacrifice in human history, a perfect example of His own message.

It’s impossible for those who are short-sighted to comprehend how the awareness of His death and suffering must have worn on His mind since He informed Joseph and Mary at the age of 12 that He had to be about His Dad’s business. It must have been an impossibly enormous load for Him to enter the world to carry the iniquities of each man, woman, and child. Jesus told us that He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no man comes to the Father but by Him. Do you understand the meaning behind any of these? Here are some free Christian eBooks to help you along the way.

Jesus Is The Living Word

“You are truly my followers if you remain committed to my teachings,” Jesus told those who fully trusted in him. (Luke 8:31)

Nothing will provide you the assurance you need in this world of chronic deception, false stories, and deceptive people like Holy scripture and the Messiah Himself. Keep your commitment to the Bible, and you will discover more and more about what is true. You’ll discover that what the majority believes isn’t always true.

You know Jesus is telling the truth every time that He speaks. As a result, we should continue to follow His teachings and consider ourselves to be true disciples, when we “hear” His voice. But He continues. “You will know the truth, and the Truth shall set you free.” Have you learned the truth that sets you free?

Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. – Isaiah 24 KJV.

Bible Verses About Fasting

Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours. Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high. Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?

Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward. Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am.

The LORD Is The True God

Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee. But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities. Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men

But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens. He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion. – Read More: Blue And Purple Is Their Clothing.

The End Is Come

Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles. I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness. The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle. They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt: And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames. Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land. Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.

Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished. Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it. Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children. And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
